This 30-day residential course with Dr. Alaknanda Puri brings together the subtle practice of Sukṣma Vyāyām with the principles and practical experience of Ayurvedic cooking.
Sukṣma Vyāyām is a traditional system of subtle yet dynamic yogic exercises designed to awaken energy, refine awareness, and prepare the body and mind for deeper states of practice. Through breath, concentration, isolated movements, mudras, and awareness of prana, participants explore a practice that works beyond the purely physical, cultivating sensitivity, vitality, balance, and mental clarity.
Alongside the daily practice, the course explores Ayurvedic cooking as a practical approach to nourishment and wellbeing. Participants learn how Ayurvedic principles can be brought into the kitchen through the preparation of fresh, balanced meals, with attention to digestion, the qualities of different foods, spices, and the individual needs of the body.
Guided by Dr. Alaknanda Puri and YogAcharya Mandakini Puri, the month offers an opportunity to experience Yoga and Ayurveda as complementary traditions, bringing greater awareness to both movement and nourishment within the rhythm of ashram life.
