Ayurvedic Indian Cooking
Residential and Online Classes with Mandakini Puri
With the kitchen as your classroom, this course offers a practical introduction to vegetarian cooking based on the principles of Ayurveda. Guided by Mandakini Puri, you will learn how to prepare simple, nourishing meals that support a balanced and conscious way of living.
Over two weeks, the focus is placed on understanding how food influences the body and mind. Through the use of spices, food combinations, and seasonal ingredients, you will learn how to adapt meals according to the doṣas and develop a foundation for everyday cooking aligned with a yogic lifestyle.
Ingredients are prepared fresh, often sourced directly from the ashram’s garden and dairy, offering a direct connection between the land, the kitchen, and the practice. More than learning recipes, this course invites a deeper awareness of food as a means of care, balance, and daily practice.
The course is typically held several times throughout the year according to the ashram schedule, and is also included as part of the 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
